The Italian Regency of the Carnaro, commonly known as Fiume, is a state on the border in Southern Europe, between the Kingdom of Italy and Yugoslavia in the north of the Adriatic. Founded on 11 September 1919 during peace negotiations after the Great War, it is led by the Duce, the charismatic warrior-poet Gabriele D'Annunzio.
The state is the primary ally of Avant-Garde France.
